Samsung is trying way too hard.

Buzz off Samsung, you're looking more childish everyday.

Good for Samsung

Way too many Mac Heads that think Apple can't go wrong. Yes Apple really screwed up their Maps App and Samsung's just works....hmmm.... "just works" now which company always claims that? LOL

Don't get me wrong I've owned 2 IPhones, an IPod and 2 MacbookPros BUT I also use PCs....

But just because MAC is better at some things than others doesn't mean they are like sliced bread.

And this is why I loathe Samsung.

It puts Apple in a bad position. What is Apple supposed to do? Retaliate and attack Samsung with a TV ad using a white back drop and dueling iPad keyboards? That's not Apple's style. How do they defend themselves here?

These marketing ploys by Samsung MUST get under Apple's skin but they have no way to return the favor.

If I were Apple I would start making Ads similar to the Mac vs PC ads but do it in a way exposing how Samsung steals tech and ideas.

They're just corny and use cheap tactics to sell their product. I don't like it... never have.

Yea, I agree. I will not by Korean branded electronics, Samsung or LG. In my opinion they're thieving copy cat companies that fast track into emerging products on the backs of others. It's no secret, it's their business plan, there's lots written on the topic.

If the general public was more aware of their antics they'd sell less products.

Ummm they have used the same marketing tactics....see previous post with I'M A PC vs. Im a MAC. Samsung has done the same thing without actually saying it's Apple they are making fun of just like the old Mac Ads you mentioned.

Call it KARMA

Not really apples style. Apple has never mentioned a competitor in ads. Even the Mac vs PC ads were Mac vs PC not mac vs Dell.

I think thats a classier move. Samsung is acting like a child.

Maybe some people should take some time off and go see that national park. I know I wouldn't mind checking it out. :p

Imax device? Seriously, you really cannot do better?

All phones can break when being dropped from the slightest height. Well at least in your illogical pointless commercial, the Samsung phone with the broken glass will get you to the right place.

Thank you for the compliment. I've actually seen people blown over when removing a Samsung telephone from their pockets in high winds. Seriously.

I admit it, my previous tongue-in-cheek comment about a commercial that should never be made clearly contained comic devices that are beyond the scope of some iClone users.

Double standards much? It's ironic how when Apple was making PC vs Mac ads It wasn't childish, but now when Samsung starts targeting Apple it becomes childish.

Samsung is simply taking advantage of the situation, I suspect any company would do the same, and Apple has certainly done so in the past If you guys recall..

Remember they took shot at Vista & 7 in the keynotes? Not to mention the Mac vs PC ad campaign..

Apple maps will improve dramatically in the next 2 yrs.

Probability is same as a geek marrying a cheerleader. May be in 10 years. They are trying to buy TomTom. That explains they have no clue about the issue. If they want to fix any time soon they have to buy Yahoo.

And putting on your website, "the galaxy tab isn't cool enough to be mistaken for an apple product" is?

Anyone confirm the Galaxy SIII had the, um, correct location as of a week ago?

Um.... yes.... bad questions to ask dude. Just bad. There is no rebuttal from the horror of apple maps.

And sure, Google maps had hiccups early on.... you know, like giving directions from california to hawaii and telling you to canoe.... (which I miss) but Google harvested all their data in house. Apple bought maps from an established company.... and still screwed them up.

This would be MUCH funnier if they only place these signs at locations where Apple Maps fails (Doesn't show map correctly, non-existing road, etc.)

Samsung doesn't mention Apple in this ad.

And technically in the line ad it doesn't mention Apple either.

We need an alien invasion that only sends out some super EMP that wipes out the internet and makes it inactive. Aliens could simply say everyone on the internet is arguing over stupid material tech BS, hell maybe even wipe out smartphones as well, our society simply isn't ready.

Only allow medical and science tech to stay active. Done and done.

God forbid someone has to check a paper map though. *shudders* Or actually socially interact, or do it they way it worked and it did work back only a decade or two ago.

It's mad funny to read though, and the best part is the same people in person are vague or quiet as a mouse on these topics. Mostly.

There was on dude I know that would not shut up about his freaking phone (not sure which phone) till my larger friend just went off yelling at him making the kid almost piss himself. He is alot better on hangouts now though, he never speaks of it anymore so I guess that worked.

Forget Motorola, LG & Sony. Apple has been targeting Microsoft & Windows in their ads for a very long time.

All I'm doing is trying to be objective. Frankly I don't see the difference between what Samsung is doing and what Apple had been doing in the past..

It's just fanboyism, which I hate from all sides, I may be a Mac user but I don't kiss any companies arse & that includes Apple.

AGAIN: Show me ONE apple ad where microsoft is specifically mentioned.

Watch as a whole lot of Apple fans search for every problem in Google Maps then realize that they've been helping Google all along by doing this then throw fits.

But even if Apple Maps was bad in my area (which it's not) and if I could not use Google Maps (which I can), I still wouldn't care because I very rarely use my phone for navigation.

Oh come on, many of the "Mac vs PC" ads mention Windows, which is a trademark of Microsoft, and Samsung does not mention Apple or any of its products at all in their ad.

Why do you think they are trying to buy TomTom? I would rather they didn't but it may explain why TomTom dropped Google search from it's last update to it's iOS app? Although it still works miles better then Apple's balls up.
If Apple brought TomTom they would ruin them, I mean as said they can't even use the data TomTom give them properly..

I still wish they just gave up and put Google Maps back in iOS!

Did I say they HAVE corrected the issues? I don't believe so. I said they are working to make things better. You do realize that there are dozens of other options including Google Maps for iOS users right?

Well, the fact that they have not corrected any issues since it was introduced publicly about 3 months ago (5 months if you count its true release) leads me to believe they're not actually working too hard on it, despite all the rubbish they leak to the press.
