samsung tv incompatible with lion

I have a brand mew 2.3ghz macbook pro running Lion will not play with my year old 48' SAMSUNG TV. The computer sees the TV but the tv blinks on and off....wont stabalize used Belkin converter and monster cable hdmi

I thought I had heard something about HDMI TV connectors not working on 2011 MacBook Pros and iMacs due to the addition of Thunderbolt...

People said the TV/converter needs to support mirroring over Thunderbolt as well. Don't quote me on that.

Looks like you'll need to buy some new hardware, whenever such thing comes out.

i use my macbook pro attaced to a 22inch LED samsung tv and it works fine
