I have the d807 and I absolutely love it...it's the best phone I've ever owned

My friend got a new one recently and it is amazing. I want one

just picked up a D807 today, pretty sweet phone and the first phone I've ever owned that's not an Ericsson or SonyEricsson, the quality of those phones was incredible before Sony got involved and tanked them big time, they are awful quality wise and I think the UI has a long way to go but that can be said for most phones, Samsung included. Anyway, clearly, I'm not the only one left scratching my head now in terms of how to sync, am I going to have to put boot camp to use and export vcards to Outlook on the PC side to get this thing to fire up properly???
Hints, tricks, tips????

You can't sync a Samsung with a Mac. Well, not a d807 anyway. It doesn't have the Bluetooth profile necessary for it, so you can only do per-person contact transfers. Did I mention I have one for sale? :D

re... the link I posted

This link does not really fix anything, instead, it shows you how to get around the fact that the D807 does not sync with a mac, follow the instructions in the link, and everywhere it says Samsung D920, imagine that it says D807, carry on pretending that this is what it's saying and before you know it, you'll have all the contacts from your Mac's address book uploaded to your shiny new D807, just make sure that when the phone prompts you, accept the data being sent from your computer......
best of luck

It worked with my A900. Thanks! :)

I'm reading up on making a plug-in for iSync to use the protocol Samsung is using.

So I've got the d900, and I really like it. Only thing is that I really wanna syc (or just edit from computer) my calendar from my mac. Is there ANY way to use a mac to edit the calendar?

I received my Nokia 6682 and my wife's Razr yesterday. The Razr feels cheap and it's interface is as slow and clunky as my old Moto V600. I love my Nokia 6682 - very slick, good UI, ok video, good picture quality, nice fit/feel, etc.

How's the Nokia doing? I just ordered one - it was a toss up between the d807 and the 6682. I went for the 6682 because of the good reviews on sound quality in particular. Thankfully, my wife and I came across some RAZR phones at Wal-Mart and decided to steer well clear - she ended up with the Nokia 6102i...Anyway, any updates on the 6682 would be most appreciated!

What is it that you hate so much about the Razr. That's the other phone my wife wants. I'm leaning towards a Nokia 6682 now.

That's somewhat shocking to me. I used my Motorola Star Tac and dropped it probably once a week for 4 years and it was still working quite well when I changed phones. There was a crack at the antenna housing and that was it. Even the holster was unbroken.

The old StarTac was one of the best phones ever made. The battery would last forever (even the slim battery), the ergonomics were top-notch, and it could take tons of abuse. I had mine all patched up with tape after 3.5 years of abuse, and would still use if I hadn't lost it. :(

That being said, after loosing my StarTac I went and bought a Motorola T720... the phone looked nice, but the software was a mess. It didn't have BT, and it gave me tons of headaches with iSync (using a USB cable). After around a year, I replaced it with a SE T637, and I love that phone. The only thing I hate about it is the battery life - I'm currently on my third battery, and if I use it moderately it doesn't last one day. Needless to say, I have to charge it every night.

I will probably replace the T637 with either the Sony Ericsson K790, K800 (after it goes down in price), or the Samsung Samsung D900. That is still a few months away, though.
