The mayor of the city of San Gabriel was in custody Friday on charges of felony robbery and assault after he allegedly took a woman’s purse and sped down a residential street with her clinging to the side of his sport-utility vehicle.

How did this not happen in Florida? I thought that was the weird events state....

I wish I could find an article on it, but 10 or so years ago, the sitting mayor in a Rhode Island town was cited for possession of marijuana while riding in a limo.

But apparently that was a couple of years ago and now he's the vice mayor. That is crazy that lady hung onto the SUV though she is probably part spiderman.
