sandisk or samsung PCIe SSD?

We all know that PCIe SSDs on 2013/2014 air/retina are common to fail
The reason of asking is that i have a choice on my 2014 air - put samsung or sandisk.
Both are the same age, hours, power cycles and have around 5-6TB of data written. 128GB
Anyone has any statistics which lasts longer: samsung or sandisk?

Samsungs are usually better quality and performance over what I have seen from Sandisk.

Never heard of 2013/2014 MBP ssd failing. But, you ought to check out this thread for recommendations on upgrading.

At least for the MBPs, Apple does not make upgrading/replacing the drives an easy task with their proprietary protocols and ssd modules.

BTW, you might also ask this in the Macbook Air forum. This forum is specific to the MBP.

I had the ssd fail on an early 2015 MBA as the previous owner got liquid inside the machine. I got a sintech pci-e adapter and used an nvme drive. Cheaper by a lot.

If using genuine Apple then Samsung has a better rep but it shouldn’t make much difference.
