Well than the function is to hold the handheld computer for a prolonged period of time and lightness is the design aspect that makes it (work better) easier on the muscle. Another function is to be able put the phone in a shirt pocket and the smaller and lighter the phone is the less bulge and drag it bears on the shirt. And so on ...
Your reaching.

You hope the audience boos if Apple puts 16GB base storage in what is supposed to be a cheaper phone? Honestly there's no logic behind it, especially when you consider it would be cheaper than a 6s base model with more storage. It's just not gonna happen. Maybe with the 7, but I honestly believe they'll change the iPad before the iPhone.
The cost for Apple to go from 16GB to 32GB is literally pennies. Even their cheapest phone should come with 32GB base storage in the year 2016.

The Intel LTE radio is going in the iPhone SE, not the 7. They won that socket in 2014.

In my use this is more important for the iPad line. I'd love to stock a bunch of magazines, comic books, etc. on mine but only have 32GB. Meanwhile on my 64GB iPhone 6, I've got plenty of room because I don't use as many large apps (they're not as fun as they are on iPad) and obviously don't try to read comics or magazines on a 4.7-inch display.

Apple has used SanDisk flash memory chips in a number of previous iPhone models, so if there is a 32 GB space iPhone on next Monday, that will be better.

It's easy.. The dual camera iphone will get the 256gb. Why ? Because the pics and video will take up lots of space..

256GB is a lot of storage, even if there are people who will use so much data on their phone they are very small in numbers that Apple will not release a model just for them. 256GB equals about 85 HD movies, do you really need that many in your phone?

Its never about what you actually need. But the perception they create of what you need by great marketing..if you fill up your iPod with songs.. You can listen to them a couple of years in a row.. Not what you need.. But yes it is what you will buy..

8, 16 and 256 gig options.
8 should be enough for anyone, though, as we live in the glorious Cloud era with unlimited data.

I don't debate that. I'm simply saying it doesn't make logical sense that Apple would release this phone with 32GB base storage based on their current lineup. This is Apple, the premium phone will get the bump first and it will trickle down through the years as it becomes the "cheap" phone. If the 6S had it now it would be a possibility, but it's really not.

I think Apple will get more sales if they simply joined the rest of the industry and moved to a 32GB base model. It's pretty ridiculous to me that in the year 2016 we even have to be talking about this. Apple is supposed to be an innovative company. If they can't "innovate" themselves out of the year 2011 then they should change management.

I already read how some people think 64 should be base. Also, I take it you don't find a huge value in iOS?

I do find value in iOS. It would take a lot to get me to switch. But I'm almost there. I mean. Come on. We need: more storage, better widgets, dark mode, a home screen on iOS that is something other than boring iOS apps staring at me, fix the freaking bugs that have been around forever.

Those things would renew my faith in Apple. But I bet you anything we will get none of that this year.

If you do move to Android, I would recommend a Nexus or Priv. Both actually get patched at a fast rate and would get the monthly security patches.

I just got a Nexus 5X. Absolutely amazing phone. Paid less than $300, with 32GB storage. Knocks anything from Apple out of the ballpark, frankly
