No, people HOPED for an update. However, they disregarded the fact that an update to the graphics card would require SR, which Apple is going to introduce into the pro machine first....

Gee for hoping there sure was a lot of complaining from people on this forum when they expected new graphics for the MB :D

Hey I hope MBPs are updated every bit as much as people expect (aka hope) them to be, I'm just giving my opinion which I know in this forum people confuse what an opinion actually is...

Well, it was kinda sad. The X3100 seemed pretty decent.
But then again, if you intend to play games, you don't get a MB, so there's no point Apple putting SR in it.
Now the MBP... Gamer's Notebook!!!

Here's to hoping that i'll have my new santa rosa/LED macbook pro by tuesday at noon!!

For a lot of people (who don't read MR and wouldn't know if the mac they were on was intel or not – like some of the designers in my office) How do you think you would sell this SR revision to them?

Uneven illum on the current MBP's are horrid --- it's not even about "precise colors" but getting rid of the nasty splotchy screens (I've returned two MBP's and apple compensated me big time -- discount codes, ipod, etc)

so, yes, the LED alone is worth the upgrade.
