Hi, first post from me, so please be gentle!

We have a Sanyo xacti HD1010 camcorder with three full SD HC cards ready for editing with iMovie. There seems to be a problem with compatability with the full HD format which is causing iMovies to crash all the time. I've read a few older posts that suggest this may be a common problem. Not being very technically minded, can anyone advise a solution?

The video clips seem to eventually get imported ok, but once we play any clip to edit, iMovies crashes. The latest version of Quick time is installed. iMac is 2008 model.

Many thanks,

DH.
