Is this card ok to use on a 2010 MacPro 5,1 using Mojave OS? I would guess its METAL supported but no boot screen?

Unless you use an external PSU or do a Pixla's mod, you can't power this card. The reference model of VEGA 64, non-OC, is a 295W TDP GPU that can use more than 385.3W on short bursts. NITRO+ is an overclocked model.

You will burn your Mac Pro backplane.

I am going to do the PIXLAS mod. They recommend 750w, can the PIXLAS mod handle that? One issue is the card is 1/8 too long. My only option is mod the fan unit

I did the Pixlas mod, but I could not get the VEGA64 card to work. I was getting no screen image and no sign it was receiving power. I was able to get an older card to work using the Pixlas mod, so I'm guessing its the card itself?
