Hmmm this GPU seems to have an issue starting up or waking up from sleep. It also doesn't always show the screen at boot up and takes two to three attempts to get the screen to appear on start up. Its the Sapphire Nitro RX 580 8GB. The logo on the side also doesn't even light up.

if you are referring to the boot screen and things such as the boot picker (holding ALT to choose startup disk) then you will never have that with your GPU. They do not have EFI.

As to the other issues, how are you powering this card? The standard Pulse version will use both mini 6pins on your logic board and I know the Nitro+ version is more power hungry. It uses a 6pin and 8pin connector (instead of just one 8pin like the standard Pulse version). So I hope you are using additional power from SATA ports, or an external/auxiliary power supply......or have done some mod like the "Pixlas Mod" ?

Im using a dual 6 pin to 8 pin connector seen here:

refer to my original post then. I see the 6pin is "optional" but I'd suggest starting there. given the LED logo or whatever doesn't even power up I would get a dual sata to 6 pin cable to power both connectors on the GPU. if you still have issues then it could be a sign the card is going bad or your power supply is going bad

It's not the GPU; it's your lack of understanding.
