I want to get a Macbook, but would like to run SAS (statistical software)- I see that SAS 6.12 (SAS 6.12 for Mac OS for PowerPC) was the last version made, in like 1999 or something. What little information I find mentions people running it under 'classic', but I am not sure if this is possible now uner Leopard.

Does anyone have any experience with running SAS on a newer Mac?

Thanks

I know someone that has worked for SAS as a developer for more than a decade...told me OS X is not supported. Simply wasn't enough of a demand to justify the development and support. Told me you gotta go Bootcamp and run it on the OS from the folks in Redmond.
