Is the new MBP 2011 has sata 2 or sata 3 in it.
i am planning to buy a SSD for my MBP

Anyway, SATA3. But apparently people are having problems using SATA3 drives.

By default MBP comes with Sata 2 or sata 3

The 2011 MBP models have 4 SATA II (3Gbits/s) ports and 2 SATA III (6Gbits/s) ports and thus are fully compatible with higher speed SATA III SSDs.

I don't know what you're saying but why not check you're system profiler?
