No place for cash is a no go. I still like to pay with cash, especially at local small businesses. That 2% or whatever the credit cards are charging can be a big difference to these small businesses.
that what the leader of a blue meth empire would say , lol

This looks handy, however a big part of using something like this is the ability to use NFC pass through on the Tube (Subway), so which slot is the NFC pass through slot? It isnt clear.

I got this one — https://www.esrgear.com/products/halolock-geo-wallet-stand/

I love the finger loop on it, when you add this much bulk — it's actually quite useful!
I have the same one and love it!

The finger loop makes a difference when using phone one-handed (usually whilst walking dogs!)

Mine securely holds 3x cards

The built in 'Find My' is fully compatible with Apple and it holds charge for around 3 months.

My only niggle is that ESR seemingly don't offer any option to purchase a spare charger cable.

Otherwise, I highly recommend it!!

It's interesting that some people to not carry cash any more. Even in the US you can't pay everything with credit cards though. I learned that the hard way when I was trying to buy a drink on a beach on a very hot summer day. I did not have cash, just two credit cards, but none of the booths accepted credit cards. Later I wanted to buy a lottery ticket and had to learn that in that state you can't pay for a lottery ticket with a credit card. That is something you can even do in Germany.

I'm in the UK and haven't used cash for about 5-6 years.... Only been caught out once or twice but that just means I go to the next place and use Apple Pay/Cards

Same in Australia. I haven’t carried cash around for about the same time. Everywhere accepts credit card or Apple or Samsung Pay. Some shops even only accept cards and no cash at all.

In Australia cash acceptance is really bad. I wanted to buy a bus tickets from Melbourne Airport to the city center and they did not accept cash. I can understand that for security reasons you can't pay with cash in a bus, but why not at the ticket booth at the airport? Later I was in Sydney and wanted to visit the observation deck of Sydney Tower. Again no cash. They even proudly write on their website, that they have gone "cash free" now. Paying with credit card means that I get billed up to two months after I made a purchase. That really sucks. So what I have to do instead is taking notes of all credit card purchases, put that amount of cash away, then put it onto my bank account after the trip and then transfer it to my credit card account. That is an extremely inconvenient way of paying. And why should my credit card company know that I visited Sydney Tower? What if it was a strip club instead?

I don't know how anyone can trust a magnetic device attached to their cell phone to hold debit/credit cards & ID. More power to you though!

I 100% want to get one of these. I am in the UK and the Apple 'exclusive' colours aren't great. I really want the Navy Blue one (not in the Apple Store) and although Satechi direct sell it, they won't yet ship to the UK.

Totally understand, but since you can pretty feel if it has detached, in which situation would you not be able to locate the detached wallet? For example, if it detaches while in my pocket, I can just check my pocket.
I know at least three people who have lost their ID and credit cards due to the magnet failing or the case failing to hold their cards. This is out of the eight or so people that I know use these. That is enough for me to stay away, but again if people like them go for it. I'm not hating on them, I just don't trust them.

Yes, and also at the airport — which is where I mostly use it. I got one for my wife as well, so I technically have a spare cable :D

I wish Apple would open up their Find My Network to other wallets. I use Apple's iPhone Wallet for this feature alone, as I frequently misplace where I last used it.
The ESR wallet can do the stand piece, even the phone in landscape mode. One version also has a tiny rechargeable battery in it for full Find My support(not using the hokey version used with the Apple Magsafe Wallet), with audible alarm if needed. All for $40. I just hum and haw over the size of it... It doesn't look that big, but maybe 3/4 the thickness of another phone?

I have the ESR MagSafe wallet that has ‘Find My’ built into it.

I haven’t yet misplaced or left my wallet anywhere other than intended. And any time I have left it and walked away from it, I am alerted to my iPhone and Apple Watch that it is no longer with me.

Our phones spend more time in our immediate possession than many/any other item and if using a MagSafe wallet, most people would notice quickly if it had detached.

Where as a regular wallet.. likely easier to misplace, IMO.

You have a good approach to this. I can appreciate it for sure.

Good point about making sure your MagSafe wallet has FindMy as part of it, either built-in or with an AirTag slot.
