Satechi today announced the launch of a new Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand, which is capable of charging up to three devices at one time with a built-in 10,000mAh battery.

Priced at $99.99, the Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand features a folding design with a magnetic charging base for the iPhone. The charging platform features Qi-based wireless charging, maxing out at 7.5W. There is also a platform for charging the AirPods, with 10W charging total possible.

Satechi says that the stand has been designed for making hands-free calls, streaming videos, listening to music, and more while on the go. The dock can be placed flush with the base or upright for viewing in landscape or portrait modes.

Along with the wireless charging platforms for iPhone and AirPods, there is also a USB-C port for charging one additional device. Because the stand is foldable, it can be tucked in a pocket or a backpack for charging anywhere.

The Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand can be purchased from the Satechi website for $99.99, but there is a 25 percent off discount available with the promo code DUO25 through December 15.

I'm assuming they actually meant two since the pic and description seem to point that way?

Wow I didn't even notice it was a power bank. Yes might as well just use cords for a power back. If you are traveling, you need all the power you can get, and wireless banks are super inefficient

These devices also allow wired charging, so you can still use it as a conventional power bank. They are actually great for travel, because they support pass-through: at night, you charge the power bank simultaneously with your other devices. During the day, use the power bank (either with a cord or wirelessly). Drawbacks are the weak 7.5W wireless charging, and the slight added bulk. They are actually perfect for travel- if only the MagSafe was 15W.

Bought their Quatro as a present, my first Satechi product. Battery swelled. Surly it was my last Satechi product

I brought a Satechi wireless charger to a trip and I was really glad. With a single USB-C cable, wall charger and that thing I charged iPhone, iPad mini and AirPods Pro. Really convenient.

Seems odd to have a battery on your desk to charge devices that could easily be corded. Last thing we need, from an environmental standpoint, is more batteries.
Thank you! I didn't even think of that when I first read this post. All I could see was a cool little iPhone stand that happens to charge the iPhone... "Wow! That's pretty cool!" Of course, after reading your post, I'm now trying to imagine the circumstance where I would need something like this. All I can come up with is putting it on my dining room table and using it to show funny videos or memes to my family while we're eating dinner at night. At dinnertime, my phone battery is usually down to about 20%, so propping the phone up on a traditional stand (without battery) while watching YouTube videos would drain it pretty quickly. Of course, the other issue is that most people prefer to watch videos in landscape mode, and this thing seems to be designed for portrait mode only.

I think I'm going to have to hold off on buying this. They need a landscape mode charging option and a bit more juice for that wireless charging (like 15 Watt Mag-Safe, as mentioned above). THEN it would be a very cool product!

You lose about 15% of the starting energy you put in from the wall wart to charge it. You then lose about 20% of the remaining energy you put in to charge the powerbank battery in heat. You then lose about 50% of the energy doing wireless charging anyway.

Aggregate efficiency is around 34%. So for every $10 of energy you put in, $6.60 gets burned.

STUPID STUPID STUPID CRAP.

Also it looks like ass.

I really don't get the wireless charging fad. It's so so so inefficient.

Useless without 15W “MagSafe certified” charging. 7.5W is so weak.

Apple's decision to throttle charging speeds with software interference would ruin it anyway if it is a hardware limitation. Of all the things Apple has been sued for, throttling charging speed is the one I'm surprised hasn't happened.

Boy this is becoming such a crowded, over-priced market segment littered with ugly models. It'll be interesting to see what's around in a year or so.

Really don’t get ppls beef with these. The idea is great, if this had an AW charging puck too I’d snap one up. Use it as a bed stand to charge everything up each night, then the odd over night/weekend away I just pick it up, put in my bag and never have to worry about cables and remembering/faffing with unplugging the plug from the wall behind the bed somewhere…Simple solution which requires zero thought

I just have a principled problem with batteries wirelessly charging batteries. Lithium is a finite resource. We should be more precious with it. I respect that Apple has pushed for energy efficiency even with its desktop machines, but this current wireless charging push, to me, negates it.

They're like a Mexican restaurant - they have four ingredients, and everything they sell will be some amalgamation of those four ingredients. Of course it has cheese a battery.
