No idea in this case, but my M1 Air could not print on HP printer and the solution turned up to be find the driver and designate it to open in Rosetta (cmd-I and check the checkbox). Apparently, somehow system thought it is M1 compatible code and it failed to run. Took some serious Googling to find that someone figured this already out. Could be this is trying to start service and it is failing for similar reason.
Obvious solution would be get updated drivers from manufacturer, but that can be challenge.
