I know how to save files based on the type of file. I'm trying to find a solution for to expedite my workflows by saving certain files I create in different folders, possibly based on the name of the file.

I know could just select the folder each time but that can be tedious and if I forget to change it then I end up with files in folders I don't want.

Any ideas?

Hazel can do this for you or perhaps a folder action that runs an Apple script which reads file names and enacts based on that.

I just opened Automator to check, but what about this...

Use a Folder Action Automator.

Then use Find Finder Items to find the file with ****** in it.

Then use Move Finder Items to ****** folder.

Well just tested it and it works nicely, thanks for the idea!
