Save games from iPod to iPhone

Firstly, apologies if this question has been asked many times before or if I am in the wrong forum.
I purchased an iPhone 4s yesterday and backed up my files from my iPod touch on to it. Now if find I have no save games or IAP's on the phone. Is something I have to live with or is there something I have not done correctly. I have tride installing Phone Disk Demo, but it just crashes on me.
