'ello all,

I'm not one to usually promote like this, but the finals of MyDreamApp are underway, and one of the better ideas is currently battling to stay in the top 3.

This program is called 'Hijack' and is a forum aggregator of types. Basically picture Mail, but dealing with forums. It makes navigation much easier, and streamlines the entire process. Basically forums done like only a Mac can do them =)

If you would like to read more about it and see some nice mockups, please check out

In order to save Hijack, it needs a few hundred votes over the top 3. So if you would like to see this product get made, just vote for it alone.

Also, I encourage anybody to vote for whatever app they see fit to win, even if it isn't Hijack. I'd just like to get as many people involved in the process as possible, as it is a wonderful contest and the more people that take part in it, the bigger it will get.

Thanks!

Wow! Those are cool apps!!! And Steve Wozniak is one of the judges:)

I still don't know which one to vote for:confused: I like them all!

Already voted for this - I also thought that Portal looks really useful. Something that's missing from the Mac at the moment, even with the .Mac syncing options.

what is steve wozniaks comment all about? integrated in safari i can understand, but salling clicker????? you got my vote

Thanks guys!

The people that are running the contest put a few hints as to what color corresponds to each application.

It has been noticed that Hijack is the red bar, currently out of the top 3 by about 300 votes.

Now, you can vote for up to 3 apps, but the only way for it to gain ground is if you vote for Hijack as well as the apps under it (most likely Whistler and Blossom).

Also here is a digg link, a sort of last ditch effort... if it can make the main page of digg, it should be in!

Portal does look pretty nice, but I believe in a next revision of iSync it will be a standard program, which is why I didn't vote for it.

Again, we have until 8pm EST tonight to get this to overtake the third position, otherwise it will never be created!

There is one of the slick mockups of the forum aggregator, if you have a digg account please help in getting it to the main page :D

As long as Portal win's, that sounds like by far the most useful (it syncs two or more Mac's)

I've already voted a couple days ago. Anyway, Portal is really my first choice. That's the only app out of the 6 that I had already thought of and wished for. However, Hijack is definitely my second choice. Hopefully both are in the top 3!

VOTE for PORTAL!

if it comes right down to it, I'd say vote for Portal AND Hijack. That way neither one can gain any ground on the other.

If you vote for just one, go for Portal. Apple may update iSync, but it probably won't ever branch out into sync with Windows.

Portal, as a third party app, has that unique potential. Plus, if nothing else, Apple needs a shove in the right direction when it comes to syncing anyway. They've dragged their feet long enough.
