So I originally JB'd with the jailbreakme.com (4.0.1). I did save my files so I'm good there. I recently JB'd again using TU/Limera1n (4.1). Whenever I open the Cydia app it tells me that "

SHSH are saved for 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1, & 4.2b3"

My questions are:

Since I already have these saved, do I need to save them again in preparation for the 4.2 JB (whenever that comes out AND if I update to 4.2)? Or am I good to go for now?

And I'm correct in assuming that 4.2b3 = 4.2 GM release?

Thanks for your patience with the n00b questions here.

you don't need to save them again, they are saved on cydia servers, now if you are like me, you want to have a fresh copy locally on your machine (i got 2 copies on 2 machines, one on the cloud and also timeMachine LOL). Just in case Saurik dies, or start working for Apple, (or server get on fire for some reason).

4.2b3 is not 4.2GM, those are the SHSHs for 4.2 Beta 3, at this point nobody knows why Saurik decided to store those, but I am sure "the man" got his reasons (rumors has it that it will be require to JB 4.2b3 first them upgrade to make the 4.2 JB untethered, that is just a "rumor" at this point).

Yes, definitely make sure you save them locally.
