Hi,

I have created a folder in my pictures folder called "wallpapers".

When i download a picture off the internet and click save it doesnt let me choose that folder to save it to , only my username folder.

How do i do it?

Matt

you can choose where files download in Safari's preferences.

if you want to download a file to a particular folder right click on it and choose "Save Lined File As…".

In the "Save As" dialog box, there is a little triangle pointing (next to the location) down to save the file in the last place you used. Click the triangle so that it points up. That will allow you to navigate to wherever you want to save the file.

damn that's annoying. But thanks for the info, was driving me insane trying to save files about the place.

just hit the 1st triangle button (not the 2nd!)
1st is right after the name/title of what ur downloading.

Thank you SO much. I bought my Mac back in November... and just now figured it out.

It's amazing how you can go from advanced super user to total noob with one purchase.
