Can you currently do this on the iPhone? Save a web page to your phone to be able to access it at a later time without EDGE of wifi connectivity? With the ability to save any web photo to your phone, you'd think this would be available too

Check the AppStore for Instapaper. It's a freebie.

There's a plus sign button on the bottom tool bar. This will add the page to your home screen.

Doesn't this just save the link, though? So you would have to click it, safari would launch, and then it would have to load.

Instapaper looks like just what I was looking for. Thanks!

Instapaper is a great app, try it out!

The nice thing is that you get 2 versions available for offline reading- a version close to the original rendering, and a text-only page optimized for the iPhone/Touch display.

You can save a web page in the I phone for offline reading

Yes you can save a web page to read later when you are away from wifi range ,easily by copying the web page or the topic then to paste on the notes, without installing any programs like instapaper or read later. It is very easy and even reading may be easier than the original topic as the black letters on a yellow page (the page of the notes) is quite clear, enjoy it.
