I Just picked up an iP4 yesterday in Canada. The phone came loaded with 4.0

Now that 4.0.1 is released through apple should I and can I still save my blobs for 4.0?

Or will I only be able to save them with cydia via umbrella?

    Please help!

    Thanks in advance

Apple have stopped signing 4.0 so you can't, just backup the 4.0.1 blob.

Can I at least save the blobs to Cydia only or because 4.0.1 is out I've lost all opportunities to do so?

    Thanks for your help btw.

You can only save 4.0.1 shshs now since thats the only ones Apple is releasing right now.
You will have to get tinyumbrella to do so. I dont think cydia is saving i4 blobs, you gotta do it on your hard drive.

No, it can be on any firmware for TU to make a request and grab the latest available shshs for your device.

Cydia will do it as well regardless of your current firmware. It might not say it has the SHSH blobs yet but that's because sauriks server has a huge backlog of requests, millions in fact.

Yes if your on cydias que, you will get them all no matter what firmware your on.
But if not and never been jb before or have an i4 you will need to run Tinyumbrella.
