Saving/Downloading animated images

I saw this beautiful winter scene on a web page

and I love the animated image and wanted to save it. I couldn't, I went to Page Info but didn't even see the image as a gif file although other images were there.

How do I save or download this image? It's so purty, I want to have it.

You can save the entire page. Go to File>Save As and then choose where you want to save it to.

D'Oh! Should have thought of that before.

It didn't work though, I didn't see the animated winter scene in the folder.

When I saved it to my desktop, it saved it as "Silent Night Holy Night.webarchive".

It isn't technically an animated image (like a GIF). It's a Java applet, which means it's an effect applied to an image on a web page. One of the more common (albeit tacky) is a ripple effect.

Yeah, it only opens it up as a web page. Wish I could help you more but dissecting code is way above my abilities

Sorry, I just meant that what you're seeing is an effect created by a program that you can't download. Unlike a GIF, which is self-contained.

LOL thanks for your help. I'll have to find a winter scene that is a .gif.
