Hello In preparation of the potential jailbreak, I tried to save the SHSH from my IPad mini LTE running 6.0.1 I use tinyumbrella but it does not work: - in the reference of the model, it returns some digits and letters but also mentions "invalid" - in the log it says that there is no SHSH in the device - the saving process never stops but nothing happens. I also tried with the last version of Redsnow but it returned an unknown error (at some point I though my IPad was dead as I could not turn it on with the power button). Anyone has succeeded in saving it? Thanks for your help. Nicolas
Both Redsn0w and TinyUmbrella should be able to save 6.0.1. TinyUmbrella is easier. Try a different USB cable, different USB port iTunes must be installed, but not open. Re-download and re-install TinyUmbrella Reboot the phone and the computer. You are not doing something correctly.
I confirm this is not working. I am doing nothing wrong as I save SHSH of my other devices the same way. Any thought?
Try it on another computer that has the latest itunes installed and download the latest Tinyumbrella.
Tinyumbrella is not working for LTE iPad Mini, only Wifi iPad Mini as it was released before the LTE version was available. Redsnow will be able to get the blobs, but you have to download the 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 IPSW manually off the internet. Search for these files in Google: GSM (at&t) iPad2,6_6.0.1_10A8426_Restore.ipsw iPad2,6_6.0.2_10A8500_Restore.ipsw CDMA (verizon) iPad2,7_6.0.1_10A8426_Restore.ipsw iPad2,7_6.0.2_10A8500_Restore.ipsw
Thanks to all the posters for their interest. Jbardi, what you says makes sense. But can you tell me more? Once I have downloaded the ipsw file, what should I do in Redsn0w? I tried to figure out searching on the web but did not find anything related to that manual way of saving SHSH. Thanks again.
Well I try but Redsn0w keeps saying there is no ECiD 2,7 found and to check that Ipad is connected. When I click the informations button, Redsn0w detects the iPad properly and it confirms the model number as being 2,7. Shall I give up?! Thanks
For iPhone 5, as of last night, Apple is signing both firmware versions. I imagine this is also the case for the mini.
