saving text messages as documents

I want to save a long group text message as a document. When I try, it does not include the name of each person responding. How can I do this? Thanks.

Click in the message pane, select all ( ⌘A) and then copy (⌘C) and paste it into your word processor/notepad/text editor. When I do this, I get the names of each participant, however I do not get timestamps.

Thanks for that suggestion. That did indeed give me the names and text. The photos attached did not show up, but this was more than I had before.
