Saving text messages

I just got a iPhone 4 and my inbox is filling up but i don't wanna have to lose some text msgs. Is there a way to transfer/save those msgs to my computer? I know there's a way for those who have macs but I have a pc. Is there a app i could download?

You could try to do a backup. That saved my text messages

why would you lose it?

im pretty sure my iPhone 2G still has all the texts from when i first got it (i had it for 3+ years)
