Saving Text Messages

Is there a way to save text messages? I like saving my messages but I'm not sure if there's a way to save them to my mac or keep them from getting deleted when I delete the conversation. Thanks in advance.

Oh and I have a 3G iPhone

Syphone can export them to PDF, etc, and it's free. Works great!

i use this as well, it works just great, though you dont have the ability to save only one or two messages, you must sync the whole chat log.... which makes it a little harder to find the texts that you want to keep

Nope, but there's probably a third party app or software that can do it.
