I'm looking for an application that will automatically save images to a local folder from a couple of scenic webcams overlooking one of my city's parks while it's undergoing renovations. The idea is to create timelapse videos of the construction.

The feeds are here and here and update every five minutes.

I'd like to capture the images every 10-15 minutes for the duration of the project, so ideally any application I use would allow for scheduled capturing--bonus points if it can be scheduled so I can save images only during actual construction hours.

I do have a Synology NAS, so if someone knows of a package for that that would allow saving of images via a url, I'd be totally up for trying it rather than running something constantly in the background of my computer.

I found an app called Daydreamer in the App Store, an inelegant solution with an absolutely hideous icon, but it'll do the job I need it to do.

If anyone has other suggestions, I'm open to hearing them still.

You can do the automatically saving images to a local folder from a couple of scenic webcams with some Applescripting and a LaunchAgent. The attached tumbnail is an example of images saved every 3 minutes from one of the URLs.
