Please help. I am having trouble being able to save files where i would like them on my new iMac. If i save a photo or a movie or anything it seems I can only chose from the initial menu of folders. I can't save files into a folder within a folder.

Am i being stupid?

At the moment i have to save the file then open the HD explorer to move it into the folder i choose. This can't be right!

Thanks

you can tell i am a muppet. Hopefully i will be able to help someone one day. in 10 years at this rate though!!

You have to learn sometime. Just spend some time looking around on the forum and you'll find plenty of tips and tricks, along with troubleshooting problems that you may encounter in the future.

No worries, that one stumped me for a while too. It seems pretty arbitrary when you get the full dialogue box or not.

So which muppet are you??? I love those fuzzy little folks. :)

I don't have the pictures, but in the save dialog box, next to the file name, you should see a button with a triangle in it. Click the button, and you'll see the rest of the file system.

Good advice.... I always start new Mac users off with that tip too. Also, look for the same triangle in the Print Dialogue. That way you will get the rest of the printing options.

Good Luck.

There is another option which could help you to create customized folders from the IPhone root.
Use the following tool:

http://www.i-funbox.com/

or there is another app that can be helpful:
Ifile from appstore.
