If you use Safari go to the activity window. Copy and then paste this into your URL bar since, for whatever reason, double clicking doesn't work for you.

Vixy does it for me! http://upc.*************/uploads/smilies/ron_wink.gif

I always almost hesitate to tell people because I don't want their costs to add up and suddenly make it, you know, not free. But there you have it, a couple dead easy solutions.

P.S. a little search could have given you this answer quicker than I could have typed this, by the way.

If you have the free adblocker GlimmerBlocker installed you can check "Site enhancements", which will add a download option at the Youtube site.

There is also KeepVid which is handy to use.

Just paste the YouTube URL and it will provide you with a low quality and high quality video download link.

I use TubeTV to download youtube vids. I also use KeepVid. Both are great solutions and both are free!!

Vixy is a great little tool.

You can convert it into a variety of formats.
But the only bad thing is it sometimes is down and will not convert your video.

This has always worked for me, and works without any extra plugins
