iLog.Genius macrumors 601 Sep 14, 2009 #2 Not really unless you're experiencing problems? Permissions will always differ/modify and DU won't necessarily always repair them. Sometimes in order to fix permissions, a user would need to boot from the install disc so the OS isn't running.
