SBSettings Question

So, I've got SBSettings running, and whenever I check the current processes on my phone, "Mail" is always running, but I've never started it nor do I check any mail on my phone at all -- any idea why this happens?

Thats correct.
Mail,phone and ipod usually always stay on.
Mail is also used when sending and receiving texts etc...

I've been meaning to ask this exact question for a week and just kept forgetting. Thanks! It's good to know it's normal. 😀
