Not sure if Mavericks or hardware or both. I have a late 2008 Mac Pro. I upgraded the video card to the ATI HD 5770 (Apple version). When I run Maps if it works fine. However if I scale (change the Window size) the pic becomes distorted (like a video cad error or failure). I must close Maps and reopen and then it works fine again. No problem scaling Google Earth or any other program I have tried.

Anyone have any ideas on how to test this to see if it's Mavericks (Maps) or hardware? Could it be vector graphics related? If so what other App or test can I run to check? Should it be posted in the Mac Pro Forum?

It looks like a driver issue. I use maps extensively on a MBP but have never seen this. If you're a developer and can replicate it why don't you report this to Apple?

Confirmed.

Macbook Pro Early 2011 (HD3000/Radeon 6750m)

Had the same problem last night, after using maps full screen. Tried both GPUs, same problem.

Can't reproduce though. Today seems fine.

Will do. Do I report at AppleSeed by logging in or is there a way in Mavericks?

Seems strange no one else has seen this, especially people with Mac Pros. It happens to me every time. It odd that it didn't happen before I changed the video card.

Same exact thing happens for me (btw I'm on a hackintosh :p), but good to see that this is just a bug in the OS then... :D

Note: on DP1 it worked fine. This graphics bug came on DP2 for me. So it looks like they messed up something in the DP2 drivers.

Now that I think about it I may have changed the video card at about the same time DP2 came out.

Graphics issue still there. It looks like Apple is aware of the issue but didn't fix it in DP3. In the Notes it says.

"Maps may display some graphical corruption when resizing windows or switching from standard to satellite view."

Hopefully DP4.

I hope so too. I encountered this with my late 2011 17" MBP. Just added a TB display and it was distorted.
