    Hi everybody,

I'm not sure if this sort of thing gets posted here, if at all, but I just received an email claiming to be fom Apple, looking very official. Apparently my billing info is almost out of date, which I know to be false.

Closer inspection reveals the sender email to be yechave@***.net, which is clearly not right.

I'm fairly sure that most users on here are going to be savvy enough not to fall for it, but I've never intercepted an email like this one before and so thought I'd make a noise about it.

It's a bit sad that this is my first post on here really, lol!

If someone doing that, I usually thoroughly examine the email. Usually you can tell it's false.

There's usually a number of tell tale signs, like the email is addressed to the receiver by name, misspellings, the url if you over over the link is not apple, etc.

Agreed. If you get an email like the OP, close the email and open your web browser and check the info if you want to. Never click on the link in the email.
