I've used Doc Scan HD to email pdfs. I just finished reading a book and have flagged all the items I wanted to highlight and would love to scan those pages into a document and have them be searchable.

Is there any scanning program for the iPad that does this? I've read some reviews on Doc Scan HD, and it seems the only way to do this is to then export into Evernote or Google Docs. I'd love to have one app that does both.

I also have Notability which I think I can import my scans into but I don't believe they'd be searchable that way either.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Try Evernote

Evernote will do that but, with a free account, there's a limit to how much data you can upload per month.

I am trying Scan2PDF. It's not perfect but it's not too bad either and keeps everything in one program. I can export to others if I want.

Would still love to hear other options!

I can recommend ExactSCAN

I switched over to ExactSCAN pro / it produces really small PDF files and has reasonably good OCR for searchable files.
