Scanning

Every time I try to scan something, the program crashes and I get a message that says "the application HP Scan Pro quit unexpectedly." This happens every time.
I have a HP Photosmart C4280. I've already uninstalled everything and then reinstalled it using the downloads from HP.com

I also had this problem for an Epson scanner.

Did you install the program whilst logged in as the administrator?

I installed it as a regular user and it didn't work - but when I installed it from the admin account it worked ok.

I've noticed lately that it crashes when I scan to a PDF File.
