The guy was a white, blonde investment banker who drove up in a BMW about 4 hours before opening.

I asked him why he was waiting outside the door so early and he said "I gotta buy and flip iPhone 6's, how do you think I can afford this beemer?"

And this is why I preordered at Radio Shack Day 1 and got my 128GB 6+. I waited in line for the 3G when it launched and I wasn't going to do it again, especially if there were people in line that did that day after day.

Does RadioShack just charge a $35 restocking fee for returns? Had thought about using them but wasn't sure if they can do the 'using someone else's upgrade' trick (so you don't have to give your 3rd ghost line a data plan at all) that you can at the AT&T store.

Reselling an iPhone does not always qualify as scalping. In fact in most cases it doesn't come close. Yet it's understandable that many here fail to understand how scalpers operate.

It's best to set aside your emotions and focus on your own issues. It's just commerce people, no need to be jealous or let it get to you. Fact is this happens every year, get into acceptance.

Amazing. I had no idea the shortage situation was that bad. What part of the country are you in? At my local Apple Store, they have plenty of stock; and no more lines for checking out anymore.

This was at the Lancaster, PA Apple Store.
