Schedule an app to run?

    I'm new to Apple and I would like to schedule an application to run at various times throughout the day. In the Windows environment one would use Program Scheduler. Is there a way to schedule application execution on the Mac? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Could also launch an Automator task using iCal to set the frequency.
