On this week's MacBreak Weekly Alex Lindsay said he scheduled an appointment to p/u his iPad -- not the generic reserve and p/u b/t 9a-3p, but rater he received a specific time to come in so he would only have to wait in a shorter line. He mentioned Apple was giving out time slots in 300 person increments, i.e., 300 people were told to come in a 9a, another 300 at 10a, etc. The audio can be heard at http://twit.tv/mbw186. He says it right after Leo makes the introductions and moves to the iPad discussion -- maybe a minute or two after the show starts. (Sorry you have to suffer through the intro.) I looked on the iPad site and didn't see anything mentioning specific appointments. Anyone have any more info on this? Maybe just store specific -- he is in SF. Just curious.
