Also good news that it is coming to the older Apple TV's.Amazon App on Apple TV is a big deal for a lot of people. But of course Amazon could have released it on the Apple TV when the ATV 4 App Store was release just like Netflix, Hulu etc.
nah because the wording would have been different. Apple announced the app on WWDC, you don't think they can upload the app for amazon for their older boxes lol. More likely is that the person running that twitter account has no idea that Gen 2 and Gen 3 run different software than Gen 4Don't believe that for a second. The 2nd and 3rd gen requires Apple's input on the apps and Apple have now abandoned the 2nd and 3rd gen boxes. My guess is that that CS tweet referes to AirPlay rather than a dedicated app.
They ended the apple tv part of the presentation with "You'll be hearing a lot more about tvOS later this year" so they must have something comingIt's almost as if they had nothing good for Apple TV this year...
I'm sure they'll approve the app as soon as Amazon submits it - Apple has not been preventing that, the wait has been for Apple and Amazon to negotiate some sort of special deal that Amazon likes sufficiently for them to send the app over to Apple. Amazon clearly has been trying to get something from Apple beyond the usual deal, given that they didn't just refuse to sell the Apple TV on amazon.com, they also barred third parties from selling it through Amazon Marketplace. Where you can buy anything other than prescription or illegal drugs, WMDs, and the Apple TV.Sounds like just another App approval. Sounds like Apple could have approved the app months ago or as soon as it was submitted. Seriously, why would Apple wait to announce it at WWDC 17?

I use HDHomeRun Prime (cable card) with Channels and works well. But I think streaming is the future. Most Streaming providers are getting those channels now. I just think they need to have the OTA type channels in a separate group for say $10-$12 for those that do not have good OTA Reception or do not want to deal with it.They need to incorporate OTA tuners like HomeRun or launch locals somehow.
