How would that even work? Volume would be an issue. What is sent to the speakers, FT or Netflix? iOS doesn't have the ability to separate audio tasks like that. When you start one thing that requires audio, the current one fades out.

There is audio ducking where the secondary dims it self. We FT on our macs and watch movies together. Audio ducking is actually really annoying. It’s just apple making things "easy" for people.

But you can run two audios at the same time. And is there anything wrong with that? When you’re in the same room together in person no one has a problem. neither do headphones

What? You cannot run two audios at once on the iPad.

I cannot stand when two audios are running at the same time. If my TV is on and I watch a video on my iPad, I have to immediately mute the TV. Or if I am watching a video on my Mac and open a new tab that has audio that automatically begins playing. Gives me an instant headache.

I love my iPad, but I wish I had the ability to watch Netflix while having a FaceTime video call with my SO.

Does any see this as an obvious use case?

sure don't see it as obvious. i mean if i was on a FaceTime call with my SO I'd be paying attention to him and expect him to be paying attention to me.
