The CLI (text) client will be your best bet. You won't have any graphics overhead.

How comfortable are you with Terminal?
 
The graphical client seemed to run a lot slower than the terminal version for me. Haven't tried the screen saver (and won't). It is easy enough to have the terminal start up on login and run in the background. As for the dual processors, you can't do that right now, there was something on this in another thread (I'm not completely sure about the DP).

I haven't used it hardly at all but I'm not afraid of it. Used to be able to do minor programming in C++ so, BRING IT ON!!! 😀
 
I've been using the terminal client and really like it - you can always leave it running, just nice it to a low priority. And actually, there is a way to do it as you start up the first time, just follow the instructions.
