Scratch on a new Macbook pro: the factory made it

Hi all,
today I received my new MBP15, unpacked, opened the screen..and I found this:

it's not in relief, seems some defect in the aluminum, like metal fatigue..

Is it common? No way to fix it?

The sooner you call the better. I received a MacBook Pro two years ago with the screen shattered and called immediately. They asked me if I had dropped the package upon receiving it, I said no (which I didn't), and they replaced it.

I agree, take it back. Unacceptable.

although it's a very small gouch, it will bug you all the time if you dont take care of it.

You paid way too much money to have received that, call sooner then later though.

Something that obvious they will take care of it. Got my MacBook Pro with a dent that you probably wouldn't notice if you don't look at it from the right angle/light and very out of the way, near the edge of the left palm rest, and Apple exchanged it no problem.

Knowing myself, I think I always look there every time I use it....if it were a car, I would have returned immediately to the dealer (unfortunately here is the apple online store..). I'll call them. The european centre is in the Netherlands, hope the whole thing don't last too much time...
