In your second post you said "Seeing as I do have OCD I will just exchange it as I’m within the 14 days and just get a new one and make sure I’m very careful." No mention of a "switching on and off" issue. As long as you can sleep at night and look at yourself in the mirror...

Yeah I can thanks...

Yes the scratch is why I’m sending it by but I’ve had issues with battery life from the start so if I can return it I will that’s the bottom line

I can yes, Apple can sleep at night charging £1500 for the pro max...

Scratch is why I’m returning but the battery life issues are what I can call the reason

Getting that scratch replaced with a fresh screen and OCD, I imagine OP will be sleeping better than ever lol

So the scratch on your device is your fault but you are exchanging it under standard return policy? Doesn't seem right. May karma pay you a visit.

You’re right, it’s not an appropriate thing to do. But unfortunately, it’s a major loophole that a lot of consumers will take advantage of, because they know they can. And it really isn’t much Apple can do about it, let alone any retailer in the same situation.

Side note:

Lesson learned, the Ion-X Glass is subpar quality that’s garbage, Apple knows it, but that’s why they at least offer the Sapphire display for those who do want the added protection.

Considering the premium that Apple charges for their products, I have no problem with somebody returning something within the 14 day period, even if it's for a scratch. Apple has situations like that priced into their devices already.

It’s not ‘at least’ though is it? It costs another £300 just for that so it’s hardly doing consumers a favour. Most people will buy the aluminium and put up with the scratches or be careful not to do it in the first place.

If you got the alluminum scratches are going to be an issue. Your replacement will get scratched again. This is one reason why I got the titanium. At least its stronger. Anyway, you can get use to it and stop seeing the scratches. That’s what happened to the chip I have on my iPhone.

You can’t say that as this is the first Aluminium Apple Watch that has scratched for me. Even last night though as I want getting ready to unpair the watch was switching on and off by its self so I’m very glad to be returning and hopefully getting a better one
