It's rather large. Since im within my return policy, do you think Apple will take care of this for me?

Did you buy it from and Apple store?
Honestly, unless for whatever reason, its Apple's fault there is a scratch, then no, they won't cover it. You cant even return the phone in the 30 day period if there is physical damage. They have to resell these things.

If its your fault, Apple employees will probably know this and will turn you down.

However, if you find a manufacturer defect...

Not to pick on you. But how is the scratch Apple's fault? I am sure they will exchange it because they are pretty good about customer service like that - but the next time you wonder WHY Apple charges so much for their stuff, you can remember all these posts on people returning products for their failture to keep them in proper condition.

Amen!

If you are not joking, then you are one of the most sorry people on here. Buy a case and conceal the scratch. DON'T GO TO APPLE FOR A SCRATCH.
