I have noticed a small little dent on the MacBook (M1) out of the box. I’m not OCD at all, but would you return it if you had something like it?

Are these little imperfections considered as normal?

(The dent in this pictures is really small, almost impossible to find you you’ve never seen it).

edit: I never planned to return it, I just wanted to hear some opinions and peoples experiences :)

I would give it a good go over and test it out. If that is all you find wrong then give it a few days to decide. If you find more then there is no decision.

Glad you all chimed in! I honestly would have ordered a case for my new M1 MBA. However, I can see the drawbacks of having one now. UNLESS, I am reading something wrong and should have one? Thanks all!

At the end of the day these products are made to be used and abused. And most importantly, they will be outdated within a few years and you will buy yourself a new one anyway.

Just make sure it’s not scratched or damaged out of the box and enjoy the hell out of it (case less).

You have a good eye for detail. I would personally return it only if there were other issues. Simultaneously, I would also understand if someone chose to return it given they have an any reason return policy.

I'm extremely ocd (diagnosed) and that wouldn't bother me. My main concern on these devices is the quality control issues with the display. If the display looks good i can over look minor blemishes like this.
