Nowhere-somewhere-everywhere
So I have almost always used some form of screen protector on my phones. With the exception of my X last year, I used it for about 4 months w/out anything. I prefer the feel and when I am home, I generally don't put it in a case either. With my XS I currently have a glass protector on it but can see a small dust speck under and really want to take it off.

I usually don't drop the phone, so not as worried about cracks. In everyone's daily use have you found the screen scratches easily? I am very anal with the screen and ANY micro scratch will bother me. My X did have a minor scratch (most probably couldn't even notice), but I can't for the life of me figure out where it came from. I also bough the liquid nano screen protector, but am very hesitant that it will actually do anything.

If you care about the scratches that much then use a screen protector. It’s inevitable. The screen wit always get micro scratches. It’s not a matter of if, but when. For some it’s the day of recieval, for others might be a year or 2. I usually have a screen full of micro scratches in the first month due to working in a sandy environment. I try to keep my pockets clean but it never works. Even without the sandy environment though, dust, other things...it’s going to happen.

Micro scratches are the thing, and TBH these are more likely the oleophobic coating than the glass. If you can deal with seeing some micro scratches in bright sunshine with the screen off then don't use a protector. I used protectors on every iPhone I owned up until my 8 Plus, which I didn't use a protector on. I don't know if being on the Apple Upgrade, and not having to worry too much about wear and tear as I wasn't selling the device on, made me worry about it less.

I've been using my plus iPhone for 3-1/2 years without a front screen protector and it doesn't have any scratches I can see. I'd never use a screen protector on a iPhone. Unnecessary

I used a screen protector on every iPhone I had (3GS, 4S, 5, 5S, 6) until I got the 6S. I had that for about 14 months without one, then the 7+ for about 10 months without one, and now I’ve had the X for roughly 10 months without one. They all have gotten microscratches, but the X has been by far the worst. It has several scratches that are very apparent with the screen off, even in relatively dim lighting. That being said, they aren’t noticeable when using my device, and for me it’s worth the experience to not use one.
