Hello guys,

Unfortunately my iPhone X got scratched on the top side of the silver bezel. I've heard you can easily fix that with a metal polish cream and a microfiber cloth.

Will this one will do the job or do I need to get another brand:

Why risk anything with polish or paste? You take the risk of having that lodged in between the crevice of the display andcasing, I would use a Cape Cod cloth, available almost anywhere online, and it will remove more scratches/scuffs with very little effort, and then you wipe any excess away with a microfiber cloth.

(Note: Autosol Will remove the majority of scratches as well, but a Cape Cod cloth is a much safer alternative.)

Because every YouTuber are saying that a metal polish cream would do the trick. So how come your view is that much different?

If you re-read my first post, I never said paste would not work, I stated that it’s a risk using _any_ type of paste that could be lodged in between the casing and the display, it’s not worth that happening. And a Cape Cod cloth is a very well-known product the many members have used to remove scratches on the stainless bands on the silver iPhone.

Yes. It’s a great product that works well, it will remove scratches very easily, and you can wipe away any excess with a clean cloth. Just try to make sure that the cloth does not come in contact with the display.

The scratches on the bezel are close to the screen, so how are you going to avoid that, it could hit the screen. Except with trying to cover it with your hands.

You can mask off the display with ‘painters tape’, that way you can avoid the cloth from touching the display.
Since you've done it before, when you're done polishing it with that cloth, do you need to wash your phone off with water because of the residue or is just wiping it off with a microfiber enough?

Just use a clean microfiber cloth to clean off any excess. I wouldn’t suggest washing your phoneWith water, as you don’t know if the water could penetrate past the water seals and compromise the internals of the iPhone.

So I've bought the cape cods and it does really works. But it realily took a while on removing all the scratches. But I'm happy that I went with silver. Because that's the only one where you could use it for.
