I don`t have Apple Care in my Country, i`m live in Romania.I doubt there is anything you can do about it, other than just live with it. If you have Apple Care, you might be able to get Apple to do something to remedy it, but I'm not positive.
Unfortunately it is a scratch ...If ur lucky, it just dirt. Start with something soft, like, dishwashing liquid, soak it, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and see if u can wipe it away. Multiple application maybe required.
If u find out, is indeed a scratch, a laptop screen polisher is what I will look for, *may* help but don't expect miracles.
Oh! What is your opinion? Is it worth replacing the display for that scratch, or living on with it?If it is a scratch, It is best to live with it, unless you want to pay $400+ dollars for a new screen.
I would live with it.Oh! What is your opinion? Is it worth replacing the display for that scratch, or living on with it?
Probably yes. Also, toothpaste can't do anything helpful to scratched glass.Unfortunately it is a scratch ...
If I use toothpaste, do I destroy the film applied to the screen?
Yes, Amazon typically carries screen protectors for Macs.Do they make screen protectors to prevent more scratches?
I just looked, and you’re right—Belkin and Kensington privacy screen protectors. For the prices listed on Apple’s site, I would rather pick up a 3 pack from Amazon. Then again, I’ve never scratched any of my Mac screens so I’ve only bought them in the past for anti-glare. On my current M1, the coating seems to cut down on the glare much better, so I’ve been reluctant to use a screen protector.I thought I saw one at the Apple Store too. Belkin.
Ok, thank you! Won’t a screen protector cut down down on the quality of the display?I just looked, and you’re right—Belkin and Kensington privacy screen protectors. Using a screen protector will diminish the quality of the display slightly, but I mostly used my previous MacBooks in clamshell mode attached to my Apple Thunderbolt display. When you get your M1, you might decide that a screen protector isn’t necessary. The glare is not as bad as it was on the earlier MBA models, and if you do decide to use one, read the reviews carefully for quality or if others have noted any issues.Ok, thank you! Screen repair is $299.00 plus tax, if I am not mistaken. If that is accurate, that is a lot cheaper than a M1 Air.Selling it honestly, and buying a new one, might be cheaper than replacing the screen.
Well, let's say it's the base model for 999.Screen repair is $299.00 plus tax, if I am not mistaken. If that is accurate, that is a lot cheaper than a M1 Air.

Toothpaste is useless to remove scratches. Never once worked on my TV or eye glasses. It will just make your Air smell minty fresh.Unfortunately it is a scratch ...
