Scratches on side of iMac?

On my iMac the spot for the remote has scratches. Under the remote and about 1'' away. Could this just be from the removal of the remote every so often? Is this just my iMac or does anyone else have this problem?😕

it's plexiglass, it gets scratched if you look at it funny.

deal with it, seriously i'm not joking.

My dad does bodywork on car plastics maybe he has an idea. Anyone know any prouduct that could reduce this scratching?
